What started as a modest initiative in 2012 called The Global Isai Festival has evolved into one of India’s largest and most inclusive independent music gatherings — the Global Indie Festival. Curated and produced by Exodus Events in Chennai and Mumbai, this festival champions the independent artist community by giving them a powerful platform to showcase original music. Every edition hosts around 20 artists from across India and the world, transforming Chennai and Mumbai into a vibrant global village of sound. Drawing inspiration from European village festivals, the Global Indie Festival celebrates musical diversity — from alternative rock and folk to world fusion and electronica.
