Raw Power aims to promote and feature metal artists from Chennai and other cities. Our main objective is to be the platform that helps bands showcase their talent. Through us, many bands have caught the attention of the national-level audience. This is our vision for the future.
Raw Power is the brainchild of Eddie Prithviraj - a full-time musician, DJ, and event organizer. He is also the vocalist of the band Blood Covenant, who have been around since early 2000. Coming from a metal culture, Eddie recognized that there is great potential for the metal bands of Chennai. The Raw Power team comprises of city musicians and fans, who have come forward to support the cause.
We hope to continue the legacy for many generations of musicians to come!
We love this city and we know that the city loves music! And so every year we organise four music festivals. Global Isai Festival, Madras Jazz Festival, October Fusion Festival, Himalayan Blues Festival (in association with Kathmandu Festival) and Raw Power.
